It’s werewolf mating season. All the males are in heat and the driving, sexual lust of their beasts is almost uncontrollable. Mika is human, in an alley, surrounded by four horny werewolves. She knows she’s in deep shit. A tall, handsome werewolf rescues her then demands payment. Hot, sweaty, intimate payment.

Grady is a half breed whose his human mother abandoned him to his werewolf father, so he knows human women just aren’t safe to fall in love with. The wolf within him wants Mika as his mate, but Grady will not give in. Never. Ever. He’s willing to fight his emotions and his beast, no matter how much sexy Mika tempts him.

But neither of them expected her Uncle Omar to assign Grady to protect her from other males—24/7, in her home, sleeping just down the hall. Mika decides to make the best of her vacation and keep the hot wolf in her bed. Grady can’t resist the scorching sex, but he is determined to resist the bond.

Absolutely loved it. I read the other negative reviews and I can somewhat understand what they are talking about, but I think they took from the book that I didn't. I think the hero was great. I liked the heroine too. I cannot wait until the next one in the series comes out. (Please let there be a next one because I think this could be just as good if not better than her other "realities"). Thank You Ms. Dohner!!!

Whew! I really liked this story. The sex scenes were hot and just that little bit rough, but not to much. The heroine was strong and a little confused on what was going on, but not a doormat. The male was a little bit of a bonehead, but understandable considering his past and he did come around slowly throughout the story. Overall, a very good story. I marked it a 4 because he was a little to stubborn. I also marked it down because the author created this mating heat where males 'have' to have sex or go a little crazy. Nice concept, but it seemed like they are a little to out of control where the potential of raping unwilling women should have raised red flags in the law enforcement. Once again, good story, recommend reading.

how to rate - well, let me say I like this author and I have not regretted buying her other books, but this one was nearly a wall-banger for me. It would have been, were it not an e-book and thus would have cost me lots in electronic repair. I like werewolf books and I have no problem with sex scenes that are intense and so have no problem with the "animalistic" mating or even the "mating heat" per se. However, she made me despise this hero so thoroughly due to repeated "Big Misunderstandings" and his and his family's treatment of the heroine that no little 3 page epilogue of "happy ever after" is going to make me forget she tortured the heroine for the previous 150+ pages. I understand the hero was flawed, but holy cow - you don't kidnap, emotionally torture, imprison and then have a "whoops, it's because I really love you" wrap up without more to redeem the hero, even in erotica. Nope. Not recommended.

I was just as "tortured" trying to get through this book as the heroine felt through all her drama. I hated it, because of all the negative emotions it continually drew out of me. I kept thinking, "This is not romantic. This is not romance." Sorry. I LOVED every one of this author's previous books. But this one took a nosedive as far as I'm concerned. This was not the kind of book that you can't put down because you are so thoroughly into it. This was a book that felt like you had to force yourself to finish. And I was very disappointed.

Ms Dohner's given us another winner. I'm not sure what 'Lisa' the previous reviewer was talking about she needs to re-read the book. Grady didn't chose to kidnap her and lock her up, that was his family's doing. Which he fully explained before the epilogue but Mika wasn't listening to his explainations. I love shifter novels and Grady and Mika story is another keeper. It was plain that Grady wanted Mika for more than just sex. The constant misunderstandings were a bit annoying though.

I really really liked this story. The people had background problems, just like real life and the problems were overcome! Our hero had hit father and brothers looking out for him - they did not share Alpha-wife's idiotic views and our heroine had a great uncle looking out for her. I like twilight stories but I also like when a bit of real life exist Ms Dohner managed both very well in my opinion! As well as writing an intriguing story! Well done, I'm already looking forward to her next book!
