Book one in the Riding the Raines series.

Trina Mattews lost her husband of sixteen years to a tragic accident. Starting her life over in the small town of Hailey, Texas, at the age of thirty-eight sounded like a good idea but she never counted on the loneliness she’d experience.

Navarro Raine is the hottest man she’s ever seen. He’s tall, with piercing blue eyes and Native American beauty. He fills her nighttime fantasies and makes her wonder about all the things she’s yet to experience in bed. And Navarro has a reputation for being very good in that department…

Discovering he’s about to lose his family ranch, Trina has the perfect solution for both of them. She’s willing to offer Navarro the money to save his ranch if he’ll give her the kind of sex she’s only read about. It might be the craziest thing she’s ever done but after years of vanilla sex, she’s made up her mind—it’s time to taste a few more flavors.

I thought I was being unfair so I re-read this book. However, it just confirmed how I felt. Normally I really like this author but I found the story boring and did not care about or connect the characters. The overuse of the word "Babe" by Navarro still drove me nuts and was distracting. Also, why must every so called "cowboy" book have some sex scene involving rodeo rope?

When I saw the reviews saying that the word 'Babe' was used to much by Navarro I thought it couldn't be that bad. Well it is bad. I think I hate the word 'babe' now. Other than the over usage of that word it's a good story and I like this author.

LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!!! Very well writen and tugs at your emotions. At more then one point I found myself wanting to cry with Trina. I have to agree with the other reviews, the word "babe" was overused a lot! I cannot wait for the rest of the series, in my opinion Mrs. Dohner never disapoints!!!

Ms Dohner has done it again. I thought her other 2 series were top notch. This is equally as good. I hope Ryder is given a really hard time, when his story is told. Navarro sounds like a wonderful man and lover and Trina is just as lovely. Whole story was wonderful, in fact I read it in one sitting as I could not put it down.

Absolutely fantastic book, great job! Wonderful writing, only 1 issue I had was the overuse of the term "Babe" totally detracts from the hero....he insisted that he be referred to by his name but had no qualms neglecting to mention hers 90% of the time??? Otherwise really great book! You knocked it out of the park with this one!
