I really liked that there was a clear plot that made you feel for the characters and Anne was the glue that finally got them together. It explained so much from the previous stories, how Brett felt guilty about so many things, how he felt about Freddy and Anne. The story behind the relationship between the Reverend Goode and Freddy's father made so much sense in relation to the story.
