The last time Jasmine King was aboard the Heptoral, she escaped by the skin of her teeth. This time she won’t be so lucky. Trapped on a ship full of sex-starved aliens and out of the pheromone blocker that holds off her physical transition, Jasmine makes a desperate escape attempt…and fails. The consequences are disastrous—she’s mated to three horny warriors, and one has a huge bone to pick with her. What’s a girl to do but fall in love?

The last time Shauss saw Jasmine, the deceitful little Terran stole his bondmate from under his nose. This time he won’t be so trusting. Finally master of his own bond, Shauss names secondary mates Jasmine feels safe with…and lives to regret it. One can’t stop puking long enough to claim her. The other challenges Shauss’ supremacy by digging into his psyche at every turn. What’s a Dom to do but bed them all into submission?

He sets out to do just that, but his domination takes a brutal turn when he discovers Jasmine’s deadly secret…

Reader Advisory: Contains a sultry female/female sex scene.

A great sequel to "Alien Overnight". Some of the scenes were disturbing in their callousness even though "justified" and explained. If you enjoyed the 1st one you will definitely like this one (and here's hoping the series continues!)!

Once again, a distubing male antihero. This story is full of troubled people, who really seem to be into humiliation. I wanted to like the heroine, but I couldn't identify with her decisions. The hero is not loving or caring no matter how many times Ms. Rotham writes that he is. That isn't what comes through in his actions. He was abusive, and she was a victim. No amount of sex or precognitive dreams or wishful thinking is going to make a woman literally pissing herself in fear really trust or love a potential mate. No. That kind of "love" is the self-destructive mentality of and normalization of longterm abuse by a victim. Sheesh!

What happens when you aren't what people think you are, get caught in a place you aren't supposed to be and run out of the drug that keeps your secret hidden from all those prying eyes? Run like hell and hope you get away. Of course, Jasmine King has never been lucky so why would she escape now? She wouldn't and her punishment is to be mated to not one, but three horny males, one of whom has a huge "bone" to pick with her. This crazy human has stolen his bondmate from him once and there is no way he's going to let her off easy when he captures her this time on the Heptoral. So when Shauss is given Jasmine in bond of his own, he names two secondaries she is comfortable with, but who will become a total pain in his patoot. One will question his authority, while the other can't seem to stomach the idea of bedding her. Seems he'll have to show his dominance in his favorite manner. What started out as a simple "future fairytale" actually became a tale of some complexity and depth. I enjoyed the fact that each character got their time in the limelight as their personality became the person. The premise that was the actual basis for this could have become lost, but instead was delicately woven into a twisting tale of deceit, fear, love, strength, fortitude and adaptability that was nevertheless full of some incredible sex. It's a keeper.
