Wolfsbane By Nathalie Gray
To Scarlet, who survived on the harsh streets of medieval Amsterdam and for whom no lock is beyond her skill, nothing is what it seems. From the forbidding castle deep in Germany's woodlands where a seductive but sadistic couple hires her to care for a mysterious prisoner, to the menace hanging over the land like a great spider, watching, waiting to descend on its unsuspecting prey.

From the violence and depravity of the couple's carnal games where nothing is sacred and everything is permitted, to the dangerous man in the tower, Master Fredrick, who patiently waits for the day revenge will be his.

From the glowing eyes watching her in the darkness, calling her, awakening in Scarlet a hunger she did not know could exist, to Master Fredrick's ghostly beauty and the secret he harbors. From the albino wolf who dwells in her dreams, in his world of shadows and whispers, to the couple's threats should she make the wrong choice and ruin their amusement.

From the thing of nightmares into which Master Fredrick regularly transforms, to his immortal love for Scarlet.

Nothing is what it seems…

Reader Advisory: Contains some scenes of violence and bloodshed; not for the faint of heart.

Bain's Wolf By Nathalie Gray
Erica Bain's one-pilot company recently celebrated its seventh anniversary flying Yukon's High North. Erica flies when no one else can, takes on clients no one else wants and lands her floatplane where no one else dares. But after she delivers wealthy hunters to their secluded lodge, an electrical fire forces her to make an emergency landing at a nearby weather station. Its lone occupant, a man notorious throughout the region for his "charming" personality, couldn't make her feel less welcome if he tried. Maybe crashing in the mountains wouldn't have been so bad after all.

Lothar's been around for six hundred and seventy years, ten months, twenty-five days and some change. But who's counting? His different careers have included prospector during the Gold Rush, reluctant medical aide to a charity group after his immigration to North America, courier during the Napoleonic War, popular man with the ladies of Vienna's aristocracy and brilliant physician. And before it all, back in his thirteenth century native Austria — a time he won't let himself forget — he used to be a sadistic monster.

He's never believed men like him should hope for a second chance. Until Erica lands on him — literally.

Note: While this is a single title, we also recommend reading Wolfsbane.

I would almost give this a five. Let's say 4.5. If you like shifters but also enjoy a little historical stuff you'll like this. Pay ATTENTION to the first half of this book. She'll grab you with a suprize! Worth the bucks and the read!
