Honestly, I do not see this as a prequel to Death Row series. I love Jaid and all her books but this book stands alone like all her Viking series. The only correlation I see to the Death Row Series is that women are Chattel and scare in the future. Where as this is set in the 21st century, Death Row is set in the very distant future. However, I did enjoy this book as a Viking book/falls in love with captured female. Good read when you need something to do.

It started off as a great story and would have ended a great story if not for the fact that I think Peggy gave in WAY too easily to Wolf and everything that happened to her. When the first two captors touched her and made her feel things, she felt ashamed and hated them. But Wolf comes along and does the same and because he's hot (here's where I'm rolling my eyes) it's not so bad. After all, who wouldn't fall in love with and get off on a guy that takes you to his disgusting world where they treat women like garbage? Sigh, like I said, it turned me off how fast she gave in to everything, if she had fought a little more, a little longer, voiced her opinions more, it would have been more believable to her falling for him over a period of time.
