Book Three in the Island Guardians Series.

The drums of war are constantly resonating in the air of the Isle of Altair. Blood soaks the earth as more and more warriors flood their shores searching for a way to claim Altair and its bounty as their own. But new plans could save them all. And in the shadow of death still lies the promise of the coming of the Island Guardians.

She is Willow and she is the Guardian of Water. It is her calling, her gift from the goddess. The Mederra warriors should have left for home long ago but have waited for her. Drago and Ulrik have wanted her since they first saw her and now they wait only for the time of Willow's claiming to arrive, for they will have no other.

But there is more at stake than anyone realizes and the greatest betrayal will change them all.

I really liked the first two books of the series, but felt that each book after was shorter and only a means to an end. The first two books were stories in their own right while the last books seemed to just be one more step to the finish, without any really stand alone quality.

OK, this is the third and I'm sick of formula writing. I really like the plot and the sex scenes are HOT, but the author spends more than a third of nook 2 and book 3 on information from the book 1. All you need is a few paragraphs to remind readers of plot status - not paragraph after paragraph and then characters repeating the same thing! So book 3 had like 20 new pages of plot. Hopefully I will be surprised by books 4 & 5, yes - I will continue because the plot is good, I want to know how it ends. (Note - finish the series, overall a good read.)
