Baby girl had run out of time to get to know him. Being under him while he explained the nature of their relationship was her only option.

Lore didn’t mind trading deadly intentions with an enemy, but letting go of Kenna was not going to happen. The bastard hunting her had a short future that was about to end badly.

Kenna needed him. This wasn’t lust or even obsession. No, those words paled against the blue flame of his hold on her. But modern women are not overwhelmingly eager to spread for the big man’s pleasure. So it was time to light a candle for the demise of her modern woman.

Sorry, I have to agree with Nancy. What the heck was this? The love sceens were fantastic as always but the rest ? I felt like I was in the twilight zone. I still wondering exactly WHAT it was that these people became. I LOVED, LOVED the 3 ghost unit stories and would love to hear MORE. Gail did such a FANTASTIC job of creating the relationships among the men and the couples, but this book. . . I am at a loss. sorry Gail. I'd love to see more along the Ghost Unit story lines.

Absolutely stunning! Paranormal adventure, intrigue and romance melded into one completely thrilling ride. Can't wait for the next spell-bounding installment. Intense. Up until 3:30am as I couldn't stop reading it.

I have been waiting a long time for Gail to publish again. So it was with great enthusiasm I sat down and started to read Any Price. The last book I read by her was Jamie's Cherub, so with that I knew I had to leave plenty of time to absorb details, make sure I wasn't skipping over any plot lines and generally making sure I had enough time to finish it, so I wasn't up until 3am. :-) This is starting a new series, with a new set of characters. I actually didn't think that she had ventured that far from her previous style, especially as Cherub was the last one that I had read. The premise to me was an interesting concept, and if you go in with the understanding that there will be more to the story, and we're only really reading an really long introduction, it works. I wanted to read the next story, because I wanted to know more about... well everything. For people wanting an easy read, this may not be to your tastes. But if you like a little more meat to your stories, a big strong hero, and with just a touch of fetish here and there, this could be right up your alley. I'm really looking forward to seeing where Gail takes us with this new species and how badly we trounce the bad guys!

I'm a huge fan of this author's previous work but this is not thing like them. It's an interesting concept but I got bored about 2/3 of the way through. I don't understand why she has deviated from her old form. Mind you, some of her older stuff got a bit too much for me but I loved it just the same. It needed more action between the two main characters.
