Brokenhearted after the death of his wife and infant son, Phillip Graves—Viscount Danbury—lives only for pleasure, changing his mistress every few months. After his mistress-to-be is indisposed, he acquires a temporary replacement who, to his surprise, offers him something he never thought to find—a second chance at love.

After being forced on the streets by her late father, Franny Talbot is desperate to escape the whoring life. The chance to be under an aristocrat’s temporary protection gives her more than a path to freedom, though. Philip’s skilled lessons in sensuality show Franny all the delicious and titillating ways a man can possess a woman. And she unexpectedly finds herself falling in love with a man who can never truly be hers.

Risque Reader www.risquereader.blogspot.com Review: After reading the synopsis of the book, I was expecting something reminescent of the movie "Pretty Woman". Although the book does have a similiar story line (man rescues prostitute and shows her the good life), it was craftfully written. Writing skills were excellent with great descriptions of the characters and locations. The diaglogue was also well done. Diaglogue is very important. Let the characters talk to each other instead of reading a lot of what they are thinking. And this couple talked and laughed. Made it more romantic as they were getting to know one another. The heroine Franny was well developed as a girl from an unfortunate background forced into a life that she didn't chose but she was smart, quick-witted, down to earth and funny ( I actually had laugh out load moments from some of things she said). The hero Viscount Phillip Dabuy oozed sexuality. He was strong but kind when it counted. I was enthralled with how their relationship developed. Sex Scenes: The sex scenes were okay. They were not as hot as I would have liked them to be especially with the chemistry that developed between the characters. Overall, I liked the book. Excellent debut novel for a promising authoress.
