Finding your mate is hard enough when you are human let alone a dragon. Tyson is a shape shifting dragon who while sitting waiting for his brother senses his Fire Mate. As he heads out of the restaurant he tackles Sera and tussles on the ground all the while kissing her to where if she had socks on they would have been knocked off. Sera not knowing what was going on by having this stranger start to basically have sex with her right there in the open. She was so caught off guard she has no chance but to go with it. The police come and this weird little old lady come out telling her she needs to press charges. Meanwhile Ty knowing that if he totally releases and lets go with Sera, they will catch on fire and there is a chance he could burn her up. So he dives into the ocean to cool off as he knows he is about to shift and that would not be a good thing. This is a fun, quick paced short story that keeps you turning the pages just to find out where things go between Ty and Sera and what will happen next. There are many stories out there about shape shifters such as vampires, weres, and other animals but not many on dragons. Ms. Cooper gave us a refreshing change of pace with a shape shifting dragon and the problems he faces when he finally finds his mate. I can’t wait to read more in this series. I hope that you too will pick this awesome story up and find out what actually happens with Ty and Sera as they mate and they create their own combustion of sorts. Cat on 10/26/2011, said: Two things I love - dragon shifter stories - top fav next to wolf shifters - and Lexxie Couper stories - hot, dark, a bit demented sometimes - this woman has one wicked imagination! Combine the two and this is a MUST read for all shifter fans - only complaint is that it ended!! Sex was hot, the dialogue was funny, smart and you liked both characters! Ty is hot, horny and very likeable and Sera's character was great - she could take care of herself and so didn't take too much sass that's for sure! One thing I would have liked and maybe it's coming as the series progresses is more info on Sera's past.... maybe flesh it out a bit more but other than that it was supreme! The dragon hunter was not what I was expecting and that's typical of a Lexxie Couper book. I was ready to give this book a 5 star rating only 20 pages in - Lexxie knows how to write a good first chapter that hooks you and keeps you reading. Another thing I really liked is that the Aussie lingo isn't so thick in the story - you get enough to enjoy the often wry and flavorfull Aussie humour but not so much that those who don't speak Aussie can understand what the characters are saying - Good on ya mate! Ty is just sitting around having a nice day when out of nowhere he finds himself “in heat,” and now he needs to find her before something happens - Who is she? Where is she? How the hell is he going to convince her she is his Fire Mate. Dragons are not the normal obstacle people normally deal with when they first meet, but throw in a hunter and now things get really interesting. From the minute I started the story I fell in love with Ty, strong, sexy, funny guy that every girl wants. Then there’s Sera, she is so funny and I love how she doesn’t give in. The fire these two characters make from their first meeting keeps you reading ‘til you are finished! I absolutely loved this story, Lexxie Couper knows just how to heat up a scene, so much so that your fingertips burn for more. I couldn’t put this book down until I was through. Ty is so sexy I fell for him within the first five pages. Not only does Lexxie gives us hot scorching scenes, but she makes you laugh throughout the book with the crazy banter between the characters. I highly recommend this read to anyone who is looking for a sexy, funny, new series –YES I said series!! She has already started book 2—How To Love Your Dragon - I can't wait!
