Lucy
Russell dreads her upcoming marriage to the boorish Canadian trader her
guardians have settled upon, but the fright of her wifely duties pales
in comparison to the fright of the rough and dangerous life of an
Englishwoman in 18th century Canada. Lucy just knows that she'll be
carried off by childbirth, Indians, or even a bear, and be dead before
her 20th birthday.
When she's carried off by pirates instead,
Lucy finds herself in even more dire straits than she could have
imagined. Lucy is forced to make a choice she never in her wildest
dreams thought she'd be asked to make: submit herself to the Pirate
Queen…or die.
