This is a short very steamy story about a young woman from a family of numerous girls who need to marry above their station as they are poor. This story was the 6th installment in the series, and no, reading the other books before hand is not necessary, you'll follow along just fine if you haven't read any of the other books. The heroine Garnet is set to marry Romulus who has made his fortune in the sex business. He has a lifemate Antonio who was made to look like him and service his needs. The unfortunate part in all this is that homosexual sex is not allowed on this planet, but was ok on the planet they originally came from. Antonio is jealous and concerned about his future with Romulus, confused and conflicted feelings ensue, but in the end, all parties are blissfully happy. I liked this story, I found is difficult to get into at first, I didn't like Garnet, she was very selfish, and I felt that Romulus was not sensitive to Antonio's feelings or concerns. The story got better and I really liked the way the author gave everyone a happy ending. I give this story 4 stars. Happy reading!!!
