Book 2 in the Long and Hard series.

Olivia Worthington has a problem. A guy she barely knows has stolen precious jewels from the museum where she works, and it’s all her fault. Distrustful of the police, she seeks her ex-boyfriend’s help. When she draws him into a hornet’s nest of trouble, she wonders if he’ll walk away for good.

Computer geek and security expert Grady Long was just starting to get over Olivia when she shows up on his boat begging for help. How is he supposed to resist the woman who regularly walks through his dreams? But his weakness for her may cost him more than he has to give.

Marissa's original review can be found at www.romancing-the-book.com. Loose Lips was not a bad story, but I did have a few problems with it. Mostly, there was too much repetition. Olivia, several times, recounted her reasons for breaking up with Grady and why it would not be a good idea to re-connect with him. Grady also reminded himself that Olivia had left him with no explanation and how he would not let her hurt him again. I also had a problem with the fact that Olivia is only five-feet tall and Grady is six-foot-three. That’s a height difference of fifteen inches. Yet somehow their bodies fit perfectly. Grady has only to lean down to kiss her; she has only to look up. And of course, when they’re having sex they seem to fit eye-to-eye. Her breasts rub against his chest (instead of, maybe, his stomach?). The logistics just don’t seem right. Unfortunately, this story just did not hold my interest the way it should have. I felt Olivia’s character was a whiney, self-involved rich girl. She always seemed to have a “poor me” attitude. She thought every man she loved would leave her because her father was disappointed in her and her beloved uncle left town when she was a child and didn’t stay in touch. There were times I just wanted to slap her. Grady’s character was better. He came off as cautious but then threw it off and allowed himself to feel for Olivia again, even if she was going to leave him when all was said and done. I think this is one of those books that you just have to read for yourself to know if you’ll like it or not. Just because it didn’t appeal to me, don’t be afraid to pick it up. It might be more your taste than mine.
