Dee on 11/14/2011, said: I have to agree with those who said there was too much time spent in ruminations. It slowed the pace to a frustrating crawl in too many places, and it was either skim or give up. I felt the sex, as well as the characters, were unrealistically perfect, which made sex that could have been hot instead kind of predictable and boring. There were no quirks, no surprises...nothing unexpected to the story. In fact, throughout the book, I had the feeling I'd already read it. I even went back to make sure it wasn't a re-release and that I hadn't bought it before. I think the author has the potential to be a very good writer but needs to focus outward a little more and make the characters more individual and memorable. This was well written and balanced you really get to know the characters and the story line made sense - had a plot. There are pages and pages of description, but I prefer stories where the characters actually speak to each other and those conversations are shared with the reader. The book is too long to have so much of the story occur in the characters heads. I kept skimming the pages for the next intereaction until I got so frustrated that I finally gave up. The danger and suspense is nearly non-existant, there isn't a lot explanations about the bad guys. If you expect some action and suspense, well don't buy it. It's a great love story, I found that I had a little less connected with Destiny than Brandon and Patrick. Possibly because she doesn't doubt that she loves both of them, she just don't want to commit. Even then, she doesn't struggle as much as the other two in the whole story. Worth buying if you're looking for a good triad story!
