When Devon Wise’s massage clients start turning up dead, she reluctantly leans on the sexy guy next door to help her clear her name. Having lost her parents at an early age, she doesn’t trust that anyone she cares about will stick around. Devon never lets her feelings get involved, keeping everyone at arm’s length. But after their first sizzling night, she can’t get enough.

Real estate investor Ben Stafford can’t keep his mind—or his hands—off the earthy beauty who happens to be his new neighbor. When the bodies begin piling up, he wonders if she’s as innocent as she claims or if he’s been spending all those lust-filled nights with a killer.

A Romantica® erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave

Reviewed by Ursula for Romancing the Book -- Wynter Daniels writes a scorchingly sexy story! Devon Wise is a likeable woman that has closed herself off from even considering a relationship. That is, until the night she meets a sexy stranger...Ben is more than she expected when she went home with him for a night of escape from reality. Ben has some quality that pulls her in and leaves her thinking about him after just the first night. Ben isn't looking for a relationship right now, but the ethereal woman he sees across the room has his full attention. He's bothered when he wakes up the morning after and finds her gone. But then the unexpected happens and the two are thrust into both danger and a strong desire for each other. Burning Touch is well written and the characters are likeable; the sex is steamy and the hero is everything a woman could hope for. The plot behind why the killer targets Devon is a little murky though. I'm not sure why the killer even involved Devon in the first place and the motive for going after her is weak. It is almost as if the mystery side of the story was thrown in just to give Ben and Devon a reason to be forced to spend time together. It didn't feel as well thought out as the romance side of the story. Devon's past and insecurities in relationships makes her a great and intricate character. Ben's distrust of women early on could have been revealed a bit more. But overall, the story was very enjoyable and the pace was nicely done. It didn't feel rushed but the story kept moving nicely. I enjoyed Burning Touch. This is the first book by Wynter Daniels I've read, but I doubt it'll be the last.
