Book two in the Big City Pack series.

As a cocktail waitress at Fallsview Casino Resort, Jorja has been witness to some brow-raising moments. But she’s never been part of one until a hot-as hell patron in her section pulls her into his lap and kisses her senseless. Talk about a generous tipper. Lady luck has smiled on her indeed.

What was supposed to be a weekend of harmless gambling takes a dramatic turn when Kian’s wolf scents his would-be mate. Consuming her lips as if his life depends on it in the middle of a crowded casino is bad enough—but giving in to his mating urge and claiming her before she knows his true nature is nothing short of a disaster. And when a fellow pack member shows up and lets the wolf out of the bag, Kian is forced to admit not only who and what he is, but what he did. He may need more than luck to pull this one off.

Reviewed by Shyla for Romancing the Book -- You never know when you’re going to get lucky at a casino. But the last thing Kian expected to find on his weekend gambling trip was his mate. When the nine hundred year old werewolf is served his drink by Jorja the cocktail waitress, his naughty wolf takes over. One moment she’s beside him and the next he’s pulling her onto his lap and kissing her senseless. His mating instincts combined with his overindulgence in alcohol kick his need to claim her into overdrive. The searing kiss Kian places on Jorja makes her head spin and flight instincts activate. She’d noticed the sinfully sexy man when she first started her shift. But never in a millions years would she have imagined they’d be making out in the middle of her shift for all to see. When common sense takes hold and she pulls his skilled mouth away from hers she flees. She finds herself pleasantly surprised when Kian finds her later and extends an invitation she can’t resist. Kudos to Ms. Chenery for creating such a wonderful dynamic between Jorja and Kian! I loved seeing the masculine male fall under the spell of sweet and slightly shy Jorja. I really believed their whirlwind romance. Which was quite a feat considering this tale was sixty-five pages long. I’ll be the first to admit I’m a bit of a sucker for a were whose met their mate. It takes the concept of love at first sight to a whole other level. The sex between Kian and Jorja simmered up off the page, and the problems the couple faced had me worried about my HEA. ( Yes Ms. Chenery did her job well!) I would’ve liked to read more about what happened to the couple after the weekend, and how well Jorja assimilated into her new world. But all in all this was a great read. If you’re looking for something short and spicy this is the perfect choice.

I enjoyed the book, but it was way too short. Only 60+ pages. It should not be priced over 2.00

I love Marisa's books on shifters and this one is good. Unfortunately, it was way too short!!! The story has potential to be at least a novel. The beginning was so promising, but the end was rushed, so I was a little disappointed. Still a good read, I don't regret buying it.
