Stimulated, Book One

A fire has destroyed the studio of glassblower Phoebe Masters. And she knows what that means—a visit from the arson investigators. The two men who reduced her heart to cinders. Men she’d hoped never to see again.

One wild weekend with Phoebe overwhelmed Will Bradley and Damon Hunt. Like wankers, they blew it off, burning any chance for a future with the talented beauty. The investigation gets them back in her life, but now they have to prove the three of them were meant to be together. Their strategy?

A body-blazing inferno none of them will ever be able to extinguish.

Reviewed by Stephanie O at Romancing the Book -- H.O.T. and not just because there was an actual fire that starts the whole thing off, this read will have you taking a cold shower and liking it! Phoebe left Newcastle to start over. Leaving behind a weekend she will never forget with two guys that clearly moved into her heart. When a fire destroys her glassblowing studio Phoebe isn’t happy about the fact she is going to have to see those two men again. Hoping they will come in do their job, leave a report and be on their way, is about all she can do. William and Damon have tried to move on from that weekend 6 months ago, without much success. When the call comes in that they have to investigate a fire in a studio of a certain glassblower, they decide it is now or never to win her back. Armed with the knowledge they aren’t going to let her say No, they put their plan into motion. However, on scene it becomes clear the fire was set on purpose. Now the plan has changed. Still they must convince her to give them another try, while at the same time protecting her from whoever meant to do her harm. Can they convince Phoebe that loving them both is the right thing for all of them? Time will tell, and that’s something they are limited on.

Smoking Hot!! I loved this story. How can you go wrong with 2 smoking hot firemen, a mysterious fire, and love that has yet to be understood. Phoebe has just about gotten over her biggest mistake when they come back into her life like a blaze and this time they are playing for keeps.

I feel like I’m missing a piece to this puzzle – like perhaps there was another book before this one that I didn’t read. The story starts in the middle of the conflict and I never felt that I was brought up to speed. Subsequently I felt there was no character development, which left me with little to no interest in the conflict or the resolution. I think the author did a disservice to the characters by not starting the story earlier or allowing them to have more meaningful flashbacks explaining who felt what and why. As it stands I never did understand why for all the love the guys had for the girl that they waited six months to make a move. I also felt it would have been more honest if the two men were in a relationship – the way they lived and communicated with each other (especially during sex) seemed like there should have been something more.
