The characters were likeable and I was able to connect with them. While reading it I understood how each of them felt and also could see from their perspective how the situations looked. Reading Maid for Master was thoroughly enjoyable. Claire was someone I wanted to know and could see being friends with. Jonathon is amazingly mature and so boyishly vulnerable at times it was impossible not to love him. I liked the fact that even though she was older she still possessed the ability to try something new and scary and was willing to let herself go and see where it took her. Jonathon had the capability to see Claire for who she is and was willing to accept her without trying to change her. He had the insight to see how to go about getting what he wanted and also give Claire what she needs. Without spoilers there is not much more to say. I would definitely recommend Maid for Master to anyone who would appreciate characters that choose to take a risk and are willing to go outside their comfort zone to embrace love and happiness. This would be especially good for folks curious about the BDSM world/ideals. Not only was this one hot, steamy ride, it had well-rounded characters & real insight into the world itself. The tension was perfect, the story intriguing and the resolution was satisfying. The only issues I had that kept this from being 5 stars were that the dialogue on occasion wasn't believable and there was an overuse of a handful of adjectives.
