How far can you fall?
Caspar had once shone brighter than any star in the sky. He led an exciting life, had a good job and the love of his family. Now he barely survives in a village where he’s shunned by everyone, even his parents. Unemployed, unemployable, he consoles himself with stringless sex—lots of it.

How hard can you land? Ally escapes death by a whisker when she falls in front of a train. Not an accident, someone pushed her, and she doesn’t hang around to give them another shot. But she finds herself falling in a different way when she meets Caspar, and she plummets hard and fast. He’s dark, he’s brooding, he’s hotter than any man she’s ever met, and she wants him—bad.

How high can they soar? With Ally’s adversary closing in, plus Caspar’s tendency to screw things up, if they don’t open their arms and catch each other, they’ll burn up in an atmosphere determined to keep them apart.

wow! great read. loved it! the hero was smart and so was the heroine. loved that they actually used their heads to figure things out instead of being overly dramatic (which they thankfully didn't do). if you liked strangers and/or polly this one is for you :-) my pref was polly/star/strangers (as if you wanted to know) happy reading!!

So MOVIE worthy, INTENSE and incredibly OUTSTANDING!!!! Lots of powerful emotions pouring from the book from the 1st word & even after finished reading it, I still think about the characters and what they had gone through, wondering what happens to them after the story ended. Wished there was an epilogue (a reasonably long one) cos I didn't want the book to end so fast. This book is as good as her other book "Strangers". God!! Barbara is such a fantastic writer!

Barbara Elsborg is a master at crafting characters that are not only three dimensional but so life-like they could be real people. And Ally and Caspar are no exception. Caspar is a classic "tortured hero", once the town's golden boy he is now the town pariah. Ally's brushes with death have her leaving the city behind which leads her to our tortured hero and her opimism breathes new life into Caspar and helps him deal with the demons for his past. As in all Barbara Elsborg stories there is plenty of angst, steamy sex, and humor to keep the reader engaged. Kiss a Falling Star is a great read that I highly recommend.

So if you have yet to read a BE book, I suggest you start adding to your cart now and KAFS would be an excellent choice. Yes, the love scenes are hot, steamy and will illicit sighs and perhaps a cold glass of water. But what I enjoyed were Alley and Caspar themselves. Two down on their luck people who are in need of you name it and together they find it. And oh my Alley is such a cool none overly dramatic heroine. And oh loyal sexy Caspar. Sigh. BE has a talent for contemporary romance characters like no other author I have read and I am talking 30 years of reading romance. You can empathize with them, love them, get angry at them, but at no point have I ever been disappointed with them. BE also has a talent for wit and word play between her characters. Thanks Barbara for another excellent read and I look forward to the next one hopefully it's who I think!
