Chris on 2/25/2011, said: For those who have read Ms. Linger's first book in her angel collection, this second story is the story of Ren, an angel whose duty was always defined by legalities. After a passionate kiss with another angel, and male one at that, some confusing feelings have been stirred up in him. Uncertain what to make of them, Ren makes the decision to go to Earth and discover more about himself and his sexuality. While there he meets Adam. The attraction between them is immediate, and just when he thinks he might find the answers he's looking for he is sent to find a scroll and read into being a new law. Worried about what this new law might entail he is desperate to find the answers he seeks before the law is read into being. I have to say, Ren wasn't the nicest of characters in Ms. Linger's first book, but with this one, I really loved how she showed every aspect of Ren's character. He's loyal, a bit cocky in his own assumptions of law, and his uncertainty about his own sexuality is so charming you just have to grin. This is, hands down, Ren's story. This isn't to say that, Adam, the man Ren falls for, is two dimensional, it's just not his story. He's a Jewish University professor, who wants nothing more than to find Mr. Right, settle down, and raise a family. What most people want, and something he's starting to seriously think he'll never have. The chemistry between these two is hot and the emotionally charged atmosphere has you turning the pages just to see if the two will figure out how to stay together in the end. Toss in tempting demons and Heavenly Law, and this is one hell (no pun intended) of a story. A definite must read!
