Told myself I was just going to load it on my ereader and read it later. Didn't happen. Two hours later, I was still reading. The plot is an old one, best friends finding out they love each other but fighting it every step of the way. Doesn't everyone love these stories? The characters are well written and not overly sappy or emotional. You can feel Brandi's sorrow when she thinks Mason doesn't love her, but it doesn't drag down the mood of the book and that's great. This book is a very fast read, without a lot of the tiring running around in circles these stories tend to have. Darah focuses on the characters and what they want. The chemistry is apparent from the first page between Mason and Brandi. Oh, and the "hot, no-holds-barred sex" is excellent, too. Get your partner to read this book to you, or read it to him if you want to spice things up. No need to worry about dubious consent when you see the spanking and light bondage warnings, either.
