J on 11/7/2011, said: Mate set is chock full of hard pounding sex and I love it. Mika, the heroine, is feisty and written with insecurities from past relationships. I liked that it made her seem real. What was truly annoying is that in order to create the traditional conflict between the lovers Ms. Dohner had to make Mika incredibly stupid. It was annoying. No one is that dense in interpreting the actions of another. But alas you have to have that bit of angst. Also as a side note I would just love it if Ms. Dohner would just strike the word "babe" from her writing vacabulary. Really, how many books, in how many series can it be written. Well a lot according to the author. Please please please stop using it. It doesn't read well whether it is the male or female character using it. Again, Ms. Dohner writes some hot hot hot sex. I love Paranormal Romance but keep getting burned on the lack of "realism" in some books. The timing of the relationship, how fast it goes always seems too rushed for me. Ms. Dohner was able to write a book that included the indecision any new relationship brings as well as outside conflict which is ultimately resolved. Grady and Mikas' chemistry was hot and sensual. I wasn't sure with some of the bad reviews; however, this book is ever bit as good as the second which makes it a marvelous read!! I loved the chemistry between Grady and Mika and the sex scenes were just hot making this book a definite must read!! Laurann is an auto buy for me. Both the characters and the world in which they live are strong and seamless. I was hooked in the first paragraph. It's not uncommon for me to wish one or two details were different in most stories I read, however I've never wanted to change any detail in a Laurann Dohner book. I enjoy each story just as it's written - especially her Sci Fi. I eagerly await each new release regardless the genre. THANK YOU, Ms. Dohner, for many hours of reading pleasure! Jennifer on 3/14/2011, said: I really liked the cybog seduction series by this author so thought I'd give this a try. While I liked the werewolf aspect of the book, their misogynistic society was a real turn-off. Seems that females of every variety are fair game to be raped during "mating season" with no real repercussions. And while I like some good tension/friction between the male and female leads- these two couldn't communicate at all. I had a hard time believing the HEA.
