Book 5 in the Wolf’s Heritage series.

Kalen is happy living her normal, human life. Though she’s the daughter of two strong werewolves, she inherited almost none of the wolf’s traits. She has a great job, a comfortable house and Brennan, her very sexy, very human fiancé. She has no intention of ever telling him that her family turns furry and howls at the moon.

Then Rebel returns, a childhood friend Kalen hasn’t seen in years, stepping out of the shadows of her past. Despite the desire simmering between herself, Rebel and Brennan, Kalen is not about to let Rebel screw up her plans for a normal existence.

But when an injury puts Brennan on the edge of death, there’s only one way to save him. Now Kalen must watch her fiancé turn into the very creature she fears, drawing her back into a world she left behind long ago. Her new werewolf’s lust and needs and their mutual attraction to Rebel awaken hidden depths in Kalen. Is she strong enough to keep two werewolves?

I completely agree with Barbara. I love Ms. St. Clare's books including this one. I hated to see the story end. The sex was very hot whether it was between two of them or all three. I hope she will add to this series, Quickly!

I've always loved Ms. St. Clare's books and this one was no exception. I really enjoyed the focus on Brennan and Rebel in this book. Could it be considered cheating that they had sex without Kalen knowing? Perhaps, but we know from the previous Wolf's Heritage books that wolves are very sexual creatures. The pull between mates is too strong to ignore. Brennan and Rebel reacted from that pull as mates. Their sex is H-O-T! And even hotter when Kalen joins them. I look forward to another book in this series. Write fast, Ms. St. Clare!

The ONLY thing I hate more than an author negating his/her own established premise (ie forming an even triad in book one of a series and then an uneven 5-some in book five [where the 3 men slept with eachother and the 2 women but the women never connected and were never really mentioned in spin-off series where the gus always appeared having sex with eachother {I'm still bitter; can you tell?}]) is when two members of a supposed triad hook up behind the back of the other. It isn't even that at first Kalen just wasn't taking part of it; she was still sleeping with Brennan and no one told her that he and Rebel were getting together too!! Hell, Brennan turned her down and went to Rebel without telling her!!! While I didn't love the previous books in the series (particularly #3 and 4 [again an element of backstabbing sneakiness]) I really hate this aspect of this book. If not for the sordid cheating feel of the book, I would have really liked it. However, because of it, I can't even give it a 2 star rating!! Please get it togethr Tielle!!

Probably my favorite erotic romance novel EVER! I've read it at least a half dozen times and I still enjoy spending time with these characters. Actually, the entire series is great. I'm hoping Tielle with pen another with Bridgett's story or maybe Kalen's parent's. This series is too good to stop!

So I went back and re-read this book..and came back with the same conclusion. only i think i figured out what i did not really like about this book. In all of the other books in this series the main female was involved in the man's "first time" with the other main male. in this story it was not the case. It felt like she was being cheated on...the ending was good, the writing was good but i just really did not like the fact that the main female was left out of a lot of the book. this book could have been so much better. (original comment: Not the best, I like this author and so the book itself was good, characters are well rounded and the story develops fully, but for some reason it just was not as good as the others in this series. Summer's Caress is excellent, so is new years kiss, Jackson's rise and maxwell's fall are also very very good, but this one fell short. i think for me it was because Rebel's attraction to Kalen did not make any since, throughout the book the author makes it very clear that he is gay, so why does he like the main woman in this, it left me scratching my head and made the story almost feel weird or dirty (and not in the good way) ha. I wont say dont buy it, but i was disappointed.)

I am also a BIG Tielle St. Clare fan and will auto buy anything she comes out with, but in this case I'm a bit frustrated. The characters fell flat for me and the relationships seemed a bit forced. I really had an issue with the clandestine interactions between Rebel and Brennen and Kalen's cluelessness. IMO, the heat factor was also lacking. There are other weaknesses, but suffice it to say, I will just have to re-read some of the previous stories to get my St. Clare fix. If she writes the last sister's story, I hope she reverts back to her old writing style and fleshes thing out more with greater thought to character development and plot.

Right up front I want to say that I love Tielle's books. Her writing is great and her stories always keep you interested right to the end. However, I really have to agree with Jennifer, the character's in this story, for some reason just do not work. Individually, I really liked them, maybe it was Brennan's growing dominance of the story, and I was almost wishing he would disappear, that leaves this story lacking. Also. for such a substantial book it was disappointing to find out at the very end that Kalen and Rebel were destined mates prior to Brennan showing up, yet their longstanding relationship and obvious attraction was never explored and developed anywhere in the story, what's with that? The sex was hot, but like I've said, Tielle is a great writer, but seriously you would not be missing anything from this series if you didn't buy this book - it doesn't add or subtract from the previous books and I personally found it generally unsatisfying. Sorry T.

I loved the other books in the series, and I loved this one too. Rebel is bisexual, not gay, he wants Kalen, but won't act on that as he knows he'd eventually need a guy as well and he doesn't want to hurt her. Both males are strong alphas, and Kalen is worried she'd never be strong enough to be an alphas mate. Good story going on alongside the developing of the characters relationship. As with the other novels, she keeps you guessing- who's up to something? Easily read as a stand alone, but all of these wolf books by Tielle are great.

Loved it. It was a great long story and the characters were well developed and really sexy. Good story line. Makes me want to read her other Wolf's Heritage stories.
