Cat on 9/11/2010, said: This was a well written little historical romance. I have to say that Meta Mathews created in this little gem a great twist that was totally believable! Although I didn't guess the twist in the story until the end, I would have guessed the same way that Lady Amberly did for the same reason in real life - I don't want to say too much because I don't want to spoil the end for anyone, but the fact that Lady Amberly did figure it out made the book that much more enjoyable and realistic for me - sometimes I find these "innocent" women jump into bed too quickly to be believable especially with the time period in the book. I would know the one I loved for the same reason. This was worth the money I spent and I suggest that anyone would like it. >^..^< And yes I know I'm being somewhat annoyingly vague! I have always been drawn to reading these century placed type of books and this one did not disappoint. It was well written, the characters right off the bat you bonded with and could relate to. The storyline was great, the sex scenes are good, but I had some problems with her being so "innocent" she seemed to know more than she should going through the "lessons". It has this twist in it that is written so brilliantly you end up saying "Ya okay, Meta got me". My only concerns with it are that it was too short and at times I feel the language slipped from century phrases to modern day phrases in places.
