I was surprised with the depth of emotion that Ms. Armstrong was able to generate between her characters and with how they affected me. Kele on 8/9/2010, said: I absolutely adored this book! More than being incredibly hot and steamy, the writing is incandescently beautiful and the characters are vivid. I love the backdrop of the rock and roll world, feeling the reality of it behind the scenes. It somehow made the entire story more potent. I don’t want to give too much away, but David is one of those haunted, tortured past heroes I adore. Plus, this book really captures the sparkle that rock stars and other truly famous celebrities have. As a reader I really felt his beauty and dazzle, his talent, his enormous fame, yet he is still so real and vibrant and he’s flawed just like the rest of us. He has trust issues, which had me rooting for Kyra the whole way through. She’s a wonderful, self confident heroine with strong moral principles and you want her to be the one to be the one for David—more so, you want David to let her in because he really is in desperate need of someone to love. One of the most enjoyable books I’ve read in a while. Even after I finished reading the story stayed with me. I would HIGHLY recommend it. Both the plot and the characters are interesting and fully developed. And the sex scenes were quite steamy! Definitely a great read that I would recommend.
