Claudette on 8/28/2010, said: I loved the previous books in this series, in comparison this book wasn't anywhere is the same league. The past life story was just plain daft not to mention bizare and didn't add to the story at all. If the alien reincarnation aspect of the story had been left out it would have been a far better story. While this author couldn't write a bad story this is not one of her best. I felt that "Only one Love" didn't contain the same depth as "Love out Loud", or "Nights of Desire", and in some ways, it repeated portions of the last novel. It would have been a great story, but once the introduction of other characters from completely seperate novels came into play, I thought that there was too much overlapping. The discussion of the past lives, with out enough development of the relationship between the two protagonists was also a little too much. While this book was good, I would have liked less of the "previous life" storyline. The relationship between Peyton and Avantae was too rushed. The first 20 pages also surprised me. It went on too long and just didn't feel right for that time period. That was the one time in the book when I thought less would have been more.When it was just Peyton and Avantae having to deal with Cam, that was when the story was really good. I got to meet and dream about Peyton in Love Out Loud, but in this book it's a full on-love affair! Marilyn Lee knows how to write hot, graphic love scenes that rival anything else I've ever read, but what I enjoy most these characters is how quickly you really start to care about them. I especially love how seamlessly Ms. Lee merged present day with paranormal strands that helped keep the story believable, fast-paced and connected to some of my other favorite characters. The story of Peyton and Avantae is not ordinary tale, it's filled with humor, longing, desire, passion, hot sex, regret, disappointment and even frustration, and you get to go along for the ride. There is no way I could write this review and not talk about Randall and Benai. LOVE THEM! Now it's their turn to support Peyton and do they ever. Benai has grown since we last saw her and her full understanding of loving a Greyhawk male and being a woman in love shines through as she helps Avantae cope and understand the Greyhawk Family Code. If you are a fan of Marilyn Lee's and especially of the Greyhawks, then you know she wrote this book you. It definitely does not disappoint!! I won't give away any secrets, but thank you Marilyn for the special treat of YUM, YUMMY and YUMMIER (you know who I'm talking about).
