Trent and Nia Connelly have been married for nearly a year and already their marriage is falling apart. Trent finally files for divorce when his wife continually pushes him away, denying them both what they need sexually.

Nia discovers too late what her fears and deceptions have wrought and now must fight to prove to Trent that they still have a marriage worth saving. When she offers herself, body and soul, as the obedient submissive he’s always desired, Trent is forced to reevaluate everything he knows about himself, his wife and their entire marriage.

Reader Advisory: This book contains a steamy scene where the hero shares his wife with his best mate—lucky girl!

First, this story was diminished by being crammed into a shorter literary format like the novella rather than expanded to its full and mature length. That being said, it was a story that grabbed me emotionally--that these two lovers were on the verge of losing each other--fear and misunderstanding, disappointment in each's other's willingness to work things out--these factors made me sad. I was encouraged when Trent, even in the midst of his hurt and anger, was willing to give his wife another chance. It is a very good story, an emotional roller coaster, to be sure. But in spite of its brevity, it is still very romantic and turned out to be a satisfying read.

I was a really good read but I wish it was a little longer to explain more about the couples past. It was a good introduction to bdsm the idea of a "sex party". Definitely worth a read.

A bit convoluted (and not well developed) in explaining the reason for the tension between the main characters but otherwise, a quick, decent read.
