Ms. Kerce drops you in the heat of the action, takes you on a wild ride, leaves you breathless and when the story comes to an end, you can finally breathe again. I loved that Ace and Rachel had history. It made the quickness of their connection believable. The background details of the story – the drug dealers, the trial, etc – happily stayed in the background and the focus remains on the characters. It was exciting, dangerous, and sexy. Ace is smoking hot and I loved his brusqueness. Rachel wasn’t a wilting flower in the face of adversity. This is a feisty story with a lot of action, hot sex, great characters and an ending that I hadn’t seen coming. Ace is not a moonlight and roses man, he is a hard-edged military man who usually thinks with two parts of his body depending on the occasion, I'm not sure if he is my Mr. Right but he certainly makes for a fantastic Mr. Right Now. For such a short story, the suspense is well plotted and intricate. The heroine is easy to relate to and the couple's chemistry is incendiary. This is one hot, hot, hot adventure.
