Can they work out some kind of compromise? This is part of a series of stories that revolve around a pair of magical red shoes. You don’t need to read these stories in order to enjoy this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I haven’t read any of the others! I loved the characters. They came alive with the real life feelings and situations. Gabe had issues from what he saw as a child. He thinks if he doesn’t make a commitment, Jolie won’t feel the pain like his mother did. Jolie is wanting the security of knowing where she stands with Gabe. After all, he doesn’t even spend the night! Could all he really want is her bake goods and sex? With Gabe’s partner, Tyler teasing and harassing him and Tyler’s fiancée and Jolie’s best friend, Lexie helping Jolie plot, do they have any choice but to work something out? The magical red shoes that tie all the stories together have the ability to bring the wearer her heart’s desire. Jolie worries, what if it isn’t Gabe. This is a real worry as she’s wearing them at the strip club! Once Jolie finds her true love, where will they be going next? I think the best part of this story is the humor. It’s interlaced throughout and had me smiling through most of the book. Weather it is Tyler giving Gabe a hard time or a stripper giving Jolie advice, all I could do was enjoy the situation. Though short in length, this story is long in enjoyment.
