Book 1 in the Cyborg Seduction series.

Flint is tall, gorgeous and dangerous. He’s a cyborg—the absolute ultimate alpha male. He takes what he wants and holds what is his. Mira is his now. He takes her aboard his ship and has her branded with his mark. He captured her, owns her, and she will serve his every need.

Mira is instantly drawn to Flint, fascinated by his seductive appeal. The sex between them is smoking hot. Until she finds out he is a breeder, contracted to a dozen cyborg women, and she is no more than a possession.

Mira won’t share her cyborg and she belongs to no one—not even to a man who has captured her heart. She doesn’t know if cyborgs feel…anything. Can Flint love her? Mira is determined to find out, no matter how much trouble she makes for the big guy.

Reader Advisory: This book contains a sexy, voyeuristic bondage scene in which Flint generously demonstrates his sizzling skills for the benefit of another cyborg.

Thank goodness I didn't start reading the Cyborg series from book one! I love Laurann Dohner's other Cyborg books and her New Species books, but I really struggled to read this one to the end. The whole book is COLD and BRUTAL.The first sex scene is not very consensual or sensual. I was mostly angry and shocked by the content, and I found it difficult to see why the heroine would have any positive feelings toward the hero. SPOILER: Basically, the heroine is kidnapped as property belonging to a cold arrogant bastard, forced to strip and have sex, foiled in her attempt to escape captivity, and eventually sold to a colder, more abusive cyborg (absolutely zero seduction or romance). After begging and pleading and crying, the original guy takes her back as property, only to find out he will breed with other women--which he informs her without any sympathy. It was not at all surprising that she would rather throw herself off a balcony than continue with him--throughout the entire book I kept thinking she should just kill herself (I've NEVER thought that about a heroine, EVER). The whole "you belong to me and you must obey me" thing was not at all romantic, not at all hot--mostly disturbing. What an unappealing scenario! Like I said, thank goodness this is not the first Laurann Dohner book I read. Save your money for her other books and skip this book entirely.

This is the book that started it all for me. I could not stop reading and became so addicted that I purchased every book of hers, except the 'Raines" series, and I have read everyone of them!! Can't wait for the next one to come out. It looks like it's Brawn's (New Species) book...Yay!!!

Based on other readers comments I read this book last, but I really enjoyed it. The only fault I found was the over the top protesting about Flint having to possibly sleep with a Cyborg woman, especially as Mira had just narrowly escaped being sold off to Iron. Apart from that it was a great read.

I really enjoyed this book. As matter of fact I could not put it down and ended up reading the whole cyborg series over the weekend.

I'm sorry to say that I could not give this book five stars. I enjoyed it but by the end of the book I wanted to strangle the main female character. I must admit that if I had read this book first I would not have read the others in this series. Good thing I didn't, because the other books are great. I took in the others comments and did not by this one first I started with Touching Ice. But since I read all the others I felt I should read the first one. I was a little disappointed but the other books made up for this.

Flint has a hot & sexy hard edge that really get the submissive juices flowing. I read the whole series in less than 48 hours. Started to see the same phrases and techniqes used in sex scenes throughout the series. Probably wouldn't have noticed this lazy factor is I hadn't read them so close together.
