I loved that Anna is a person lost in the world but determined to make a life. The action in the book was great for you never know who are the ones after Anna. Now Tate I liked somewhat for here is a guy who knows what he wants yet is confused about love. He’s had many women but Anna just blows him away. This is the first I have read from Cerise and she definitely knows suspense and action. Laid Bare was definitely an awesome book and fast-paced till the end. It had it all passion, suspense, and betrayal but most of all two people determined to find love even if it mean tearing them apart. Loved it. The Raving Readers on 5/8/2010, said: 3.5 stars - Cerise Deland writes a gripping, suspenseful story and topped it with hot, sizzling attraction between the characters. The clues were all there in the story, if you knew to look for them. The action really heated up from the time Tate and Anna arrived in Mexico and didn't let up until the villains were caught. The suspense gripped me so much I had to finish the book or else. With regard to the romance between Tate and Anna, I would liked more development of their feelings with more interaction (instead of just sex) between them. Seems though that the two-year attraction and working relationship were made to serve in this capacity. Yet how much do they really know about the other? I also feel that there were times when Anna just needed to be held and comforted, but Tate decided that sex was the answer. Stephanie on 1/28/2010, said: The basic plot is good, the characters are interesting, and the sex scenes are hot. The only problems I had were that the dialog is pretty elementary and the pacing. When getting to the good parts the last thing I should be doing is laughing at the dialog. I also thought the pace was a little fast. There is no real build up to the relationship or the conflict. As a reader I would have liked a little more background into the characters and their interaction before putting them in bed together. But overall it is a good read.
