A vampire watches Marduk’s every move. Decatur wants her. He needs her, and not just because a madman decrees it. In the three hundred and fifty years he has walked the planet, no woman has ever affected him like Marduk. The lust Decatur feels grips him—he’s ready to take her, possess her, body and soul.

Marduk’s not sure what’s going on. A dream lover takes her in a way that leaves her gasping and crying out for more. And then there’s the vampire. Who is he? What does he want from her and why can’t she say no to the sinfully sexual pleasure he offers? Overcoming the odds against them for a love that burns like fire is her one desire.

I am a huge fan of Amarinda's but I felt like this story had 4 different story lines in it and 4 other main characters. This story could have been the equivalent of 4 super plus novels but it was drastically condensed into 1 novel. As a result it became confusing initially to follow the characters as they were introduced. The dialogue was typical Amarinda style but the story line was to intricate for the number of pages presented. With that said, the dialogue of the Hero and Heroine was funny and the sex rocked!

Disappointing :( Really really bad. Amarinda Jones should focus on quality rather than quantity. She has lots of releases but there is no effort put into them. I wont be spending anymore time or money on this author.
