Bradley on 12/22/2009, said: I really enjoyed this story. I actually liked it better than "Birthday Girl" because I found it to be a sweet love story. It was also a hot sex story. I would really love to see this fleshed out into a full novel. I think it would be a compelling read. I've read "Birthday Girl" and "First Taste" did not disappoint! She has a talent for making a relationship that I wouldn't have imagined I would have found sexy...sexy. And tender. A on 11/14/2009, said: "First Taste" is delectable F/F romantica, a passionate reunion of high school sweethearts. Don't look for deep meaning here -- the read's over before you know it -- but it's an excellent example of what great romantics escapism should be. Both Natalie and Hayley emerge as distinct personalities, each with her own little attractions and quirks. I would have enjoyed a bit more romantic tension -- it seems like they've barely reestablished acquaintance before they're hurrying off for sex. Despite this caveat, I felt "First Taste" established emotional connection between the characters. I award four stars due to some odd/awkward wording and the previously mentioned lack of build-up.
