It’s Natalie’s ten-year high school reunion and she’s reluctantly joined the planning committee. Things start to look up, though, when she finds that Haley Moore is on the committee—and she’s even more gorgeous than Natalie remembered.

Ten years before, Natalie and Haley had experimented sexually together, but when high school ended, they went their separate ways. Their unexpected reunion finds them ready to make up for lost time, both in bed and out.

This is my first strictly f/f read. And though it was only a Naughty Nooner, I can't wait to read more from Paisley Smith! I've read "Birthday Girl" and "First Taste" did not disappoint! She has a talent for making a relationship that I wouldn't have imagined I would have found sexy...sexy. And tender. Very well written and I'm waiting for her next book!!

"First Taste" is delectable F/F romantica, a passionate reunion of high school sweethearts. Don't look for deep meaning here -- the read's over before you know it -- but it's an excellent example of what great romantics escapism should be. Both Natalie and Hayley emerge as distinct personalities, each with her own little attractions and quirks. I would have enjoyed a bit more romantic tension -- it seems like they've barely reestablished acquaintance before they're hurrying off for sex. Despite this caveat, I felt "First Taste" established emotional connection between the characters. I award four stars due to some odd/awkward wording and the previously mentioned lack of build-up. Less gender I.D./sexual orientation angst = better storyline.
