Telling scary stories in a graveyard on Halloween is a tradition Yancy has enjoyed for years. It’s just good, spooky fun—until a chance encounter with an isolated, neglected grave plunges her into her own terrifying tale, complete with a nineteenth-century zombie.

Conrad’s not your average walking dead, as Yancy soon learns. In fact, after plundering her pantry and putting some much-needed meat on his bones, he looks more like her very own historical hottie. One she’s perhaps known before…

So what’s a modern girl to do when she finds a dashing, not-quite-deceased man in her house? Indulge in some hot Halloween sex, of course. Especially when the tantalizing zombie is hung like a dead man.

“Hung Like A Dead Man”, a paranormal quickie that starts off predictable but isn't. It is Halloween night in a cemetery where three friends traditionally get together for a few drinks and to tell ghost stories. I liked the beginning of the story and was surprised when the storyline moved in an entirely different direction. Yancy's first encounter with Connor was filled with your typical spooky undertones. Her second encounter was totally hilarious; choose your weapon, Knife or turkey baster? The author’s depiction of the transformation from ghoul/Zombie was creatively written; the inclusion of the descriptions of Connor's physical appearance as the transition occurred allowed the reader to visualize the progression in all its gruesome details. On the other hand I found that Yancy’s reaction to witnessing the entire transformation process could have used some additional punch and her quick acceptance of Connor felt rushed; an extra scene or two would have added credibility to the story. The revelations of Connor and Yancy’s past was interesting and provided major backstory to the book, but I did find the transitions from the present to the past slightly confusing. While I did enjoy portions of the book, there were many unexplored emotions, feelings and character developments that needed further exploration. Some of the book’s short comings may have been due to the length of the book itself. I do recommend this book as a quick read and for a lengthier trip into the world of Falls try "Sexy Beast".

I love Sherri's books and have read most of them. But hell (call me sick) I was hoping for a Zombie, not a cursed hunk *sigh*. I did enjoy her writing skill as always and purchased a couple books I didnt have (like the new Sterling Files book). You can't go wrong with one of her books...but i still wanted a Zombie *pout*
