Bobbie on 9/1/2010, said: Okay, I was going to rate it enjoyable but scenes from the book kept intruding. SPOILER'S: First the house wasn't just dirty, it was disgusting. A man can be dirty but that level? Come on. Between the 2 male characters, Christian's weak begging for affection from Joel wasn't what I would have wanted in a man. A vulnerabilty is fine, but a doormate isn't. Joel's standoffish, 'CHEATING' behind Christian's back while supposedly at work brought a sneer from me. I despise cheaters. Not to mention Joel's plan to leave his lover in London while he went back to the U.S. for his job. Blah. The 'housekeeper' Susie Hood could have been an amazing character but her lackluster fighting spirit on her family's treatment of her was pathetic. Her relationship with the men was funny and in parts were heartfelt. The sex scenes were good but after a while I found myself skipping them. There were a ton of Christian and Joel here, there and everywhere that it became repetitive. Overall, it was enjoyable but could have been better. The reason I wrote so much is because I wasn't pleased to find out the storyline played out the way it did, especially with all the 4 and mainly 5 star ratings I figured into my payment for this story.
