Try this one on for size, you won't be sorry. (Unlike Tabitha once she is caught in the deliciously naughty 'love knots.') Anderson gets 1.5 for: a) Keer (GREAT character, so intriguing) and b)Drusinian cord plot device (it became quite believable in the read; concept may be formulaic, but well thought out) Those strengths could not compensate for horrendous technical writing and a TSTL heroine. Multiple plot holes unresolved in the ending convince me this story was "rushed." Anderson's storytelling is well-balanced in other books I've read. Poor technical writing: adverb overdose + more telling than showing = a novella overpadded with superfluous language to mini-novel word count and price. Less "word clutter" = better storytelling. This is the only ebook by E.A. I don't recommend. I am a paying customer, not a reviewer provided with a complimentary copy. This author cleverly writes with a style and grace that immediately captures the reader's attention no matter what genre she is writing in. Starting with a scorching encounter that lures the reader into the story the author maintains the sensuality and fire between the couple while adding details and insight, creating an ideal backdrop for the sexual tension and intensity of this wonderful fantasy romance from other worlds. This is an intricate plot that is brought to life by characters that leap off the pages, stealing the reader's heart with their passionate and stunning battle-of-wills. It is a delight to watch Tabitha and Keer battle as well as seduce each other by pushing their limits and reaching for freedom from the bonds that tie Tabitha to Keer. The emotional bond, as well as the insecurities these two strong people have, is captivating to watch. The touches of humor in this story are wickedly delicious and the tenderly touching moments bring light to what could be a dark tale. The pulse pounding raw and primal passion between Keer and Tabitha will literally melt the pages as the author vividly describes the kinky heat of sexual freedom.
