Book five in the Island Guardians Series.

As the Isle of Altair prepares for its final battle, the Mystic is awakened with the knowledge of the ancients and more power than one person should hold. She is not afraid of her destiny, especially when it includes the three sexy warriors who are her intended mates. At seven feet with black hair and aqua blue eyes, they are pure fantasy…and now her delicious reality.

Bram, Finn and Tanner Verbani are the sons of Princess Asme. Save the island? You bet they will. But first they must claim the woman who ignites the fires of passion in them all. The Mystic. The golden blonde beauty with a body made for loving. And they plan to love it over and over again.

I really liked the first two books of the series, but felt that each book after was shorter and only a means to an end. The first two books were stories in their own right while the last books seemed to just be one more step to the finish, without any really stand alone quality.

Glad I finished the series, after book 2 & 3 wasn't sure because of the weakness of following a book series - the redundancy of formula writing - different names but the same characters & sex. This author did show that her heroines were different people, the alpha males were good though not as developed and even though sexual acts can be redundant she did create different scenarios for each book in the series. Author pulled it all together, creative plot - good series.

Lacey Thorn is a fantastic writer, with her Island Guardians series quickly becoming one of my favourites. She writes about every woman's secret fantasy, not one, but two *or three* warriors utterly devoted to their mate. With action between the sheets and out, and a surprise twist at the end, Lacey leaves you wishing for more.
