Book three in the Raising Cain series.

As the only sister of four bossy brothers, Casey McCain is used to being overprotected and cared for. What she isn’t used to, however, is the overwhelming need to give herself completely to another, namely Jared Calabrese. When their relationship progresses and Casey is presented with Jared’s collar, she runs scared.

Jared has had enough of Casey’s evasion of him and their relationship. He sets a plan in motion to show Casey there is no weakness in being submissive, in being owned by him. He not only overwhelms her with his presence, throwing them together whenever possible, but he also shows Casey how others in the BDSM lifestyle live so she understands there is no one right way. Jared plans not only to win Casey back but to capture her, heart, body and soul, and he’ll use whatever means necessary to see the job done.

This book is different from the first two books in the serie - but far from bad! One reads about the secrets thoughts, phantasies and especially fears of a rather independent woman who is experiencing her first real steps into submissiveness. Compared to the other two books the heroine gets more than a friendly slap BUT NOT more than she is asking for! (On the other hand other books are waaaay more bdsm-oriented) She want´s it and takes the reader along the way to her inner self.

I had only read the very last book in the series before I decided to read this one. I have to say, it was a very bad decision. I found the d/s relationship to be shallow and demoralizing. I get letting someone control your pleasure, but seriously, the hero came off as very, very selfish if not brutal.

I felt like crying almost the whole book through. It felt like the man took every free choice and thought from her. I was very disappointed at this book. Not a good d/s relationship in my opinion.

It just seemed like the hero in this story just wanted to abuse his female.

Maggie Casper does it again. Capturing's Casey Heart is great installation in the Raising Cain series. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

If you like Maggie Casper's Raising Cain series, Capturing Casey Heart is a fine addition. Just like the other books in the series, this one incorporates the BDSM themes so prevelant with the alpha male heroes.

I just started reading this book today and have read the previous books in the series, which I enjoyed - but this - I had simply stop reading after approx. 40 pages and then read the last chapter - and I feel physically ill - Jared is a sick bastard that ought to be put away for good - and where are Caseys brothers - why don't they protect her - she really needs som help - Jared is destroying her integrity and identity as a person - THIS is SICK

I did not get attached to the main characters. The author made her point but I couldn't bring myself to care. The writing may have been too simplistic.

If you enjoy books with a D/s flair, you'll LOVE this one. VERY hot and definitely a keeper. (This is book 3 in the "Raising Caine" series). Hopefully, Maggie Casper's next book in the series will be published SOON.
