One reads about the secrets thoughts, phantasies and especially fears of a rather independent woman who is experiencing her first real steps into submissiveness. Compared to the other two books the heroine gets more than a friendly slap BUT NOT more than she is asking for! (On the other hand other books are waaaay more bdsm-oriented) She want´s it and takes the reader along the way to her inner self. I found the d/s relationship to be shallow and demoralizing. I get letting someone control your pleasure, but seriously, the hero came off as very, very selfish if not brutal. Just like the other books in the series, this one incorporates the BDSM themes so prevelant with the alpha male heroes.
