Liberating Lacey up

Newly divorced Lacey Meyers wasted too many years yawning through sex in the missionary position. Now she’s looking for a hookup with a man who can make her shatter. What she gets is a hot younger cop with handcuffs…and he’s not afraid to use them.

Hunter Anderson knows the score—though classy, successful women like Lacey might play with guys like him, at the end of the evening, they walk. But when one night leads to another and then another, he finds himself getting too attached to a woman he can’t have.

Lacey knows Hunter—gorgeous, hard-edged and eight years younger—won’t want anything permanent. No matter how hot and daring he makes her first public sex, quickie, backseat encounter and secret fantasy role-play, she can’t mistake adventurous sex for emotional involvement.

They both know it’s got to end, and soon, or someone’s going to get hurt. But can either of them go back to life without the other?

Reader Advisory: Lacey’s highly erotic “forced” sex fantasy comes true in this book. Lucky her!

I loved this book - I read it in one sitting and decided to read it again. And will probably read it again, and again..and again..... Lacey and Hunter are so well written (and HOT!!!!) it is hard to remember they are fictional characters. Yay, for the concept of hot, studly younger men (even if they ARE fictional) who appreciate seasoned women whose IQs are higher than their shoe size - and a happy ending, too! Bonus!! My only complaint (and it's a small one) is that the proofreader, if there was one, could have been more diligent in his/her duties. There were several instances where characters' names were confused and words were omitted or repeated, which didn't dim my enjoyment of the story in the least, but it occasionally interupted the "flow". My only question is; when is Ms. Calhoun's next book coming out because I'm going to be all over it!

I love this book. I have read hundreds of romance novels (Ellora's Cave and other publishers) and this novel has impressed me much more than any other. I keep re-reading it over and over again. Its a great story, believable and complex characters (I can't tell you how many times I've read something and thought "there is no way someone in reality would say something like that"), wonderful writing. I can't say enough about it. I wish Ms Calhoun had written a million more books.

Bring Your Own ICE. And more than a few tissues. I could not put it down. The sex was incredible, but there's a MUST NOT MISS story in her as well. You'll read it more than once.

HOT HOT HOT!! It's a mixture of sexiness and vulnerability with both characters that make this a great read...something everyone can relate to. I read it in one sitting!!

This was a fabulous book. Too many times, Ellora's Cave books have very little story, just a bunch of sex. Not that I'm complaining about sex - that's why I buy Ellora's Cave books, after all - but I'd like to read an interesting story as well. "Liberating Lacey" was one of those books - great sex scenes and an EXCELLENT story. My only complaint is there are no other books available by Anne Calhoun. (I hope she's busy writing another book, lol).

This is one of the best books that I have EVER read from Ellora's Cave. In fact, it is probably one of the best romances I have read in a decade. The story, pacing and language is AMAZING. I could go on and on and wax poetic. I would have given it more stars but 5 is the limit.
