Only she can't quite figure out why this man draws her as no one has since her husband. Steve McCullen has one major reason for coming home- to keep his wife from marrying a possible traitor. It's just that she won't recognize him with the new face, new name and new voice courtesy of his stint of incarceration. Can they survive the knowledge that comes to light or the feelings of betrayal that accompany it? I liked this one with it's "I know you, yet I don't know you" theme. Full of those deja vu' moments, characters that make you either want to take them to bed or shake sense into them, a plot line that keeps taking unusual twists and a finale that makes you want to cheer like an idiot are just some of the highlights of this book. Ms. Springer kept the suspense on edge while making both Emily and Steve easily recognizable as people next door types. With both keen insight and a fine sense of style she gave us a book that was totally entertaining and a definite read to recommend.
