When she finds him, he’s naked and taking care of some very personal business. Sneaking closer to determine if he is the one she is looking for (please God, let it be him) she sets off an alarm, and suddenly the hunter becomes the hunted. Not even a “Hi, how are you” and Zoia finds herself on the ground being taken by the man she’s been sent to locate. And that’s too bad; NOT! But something keeps her from reporting she’s found her man, and instead she gets to know him. Kol is buried in the woods for a reason. He keeps losing time. And when he wakes up he’s always naked. Within minutes of meeting her, Zoia calms him, and then fires him right back up. Together, they investigate what’s really going on with Kol, and when the find out, it’s hard to say is more shocked. Explicit and erotic, this quick read grabs the reader and won’t shake lose. The mystery of what was happening to Kol was slowly played out and not given away until almost the very end. A refreshing change for the genre, Kol’s problem is not looked at as neat or cool. While I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the evolution of trust and intimacy between Zoia and Kol, I was flustered at the abrupt ending. The story moved so smoothly it was a jarring shock.
