But this story was too raw for me. The women in the story had no free will. The women are used and abused by men left and right, but there are no consequences for them. The complete helplessnesss of the women to all of the men not just her lover was very disturbing to me. I enjoy Jaid Black's books but I have to be careful about the ones that I select.
