I put off buying this book because I wasn't sure about the whole mistress thing, but went ahead and got it based on the reviews. I'm glad I did. This book was nothing like what I expected. I absolutely LOVED McLeod. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the idea of the woman being the protector. But I went ahead and bought it and I'm glad I did. McLeod is one of the sexiest, most well-written characters I've ever read. Wow! Kate, the bodyguard, is also well-written. I loved the story - interesting and fast moving. The sex scenes were hot, too! I hope this author will be releasing another book soon. (A full novel, not a novella, please!)
