Jack thinks that she is running away from civilization, but Callie knows better. She is running away from the mediocrity of their relationship. Although she is drawn to his intensity, she has never been able to crack the tight control he holds over his emotions. Jack holds back even when they make love.

Weary of New York City, Callie rents an isolated lighthouse off the coast of Maine and finds the house comes with a checkered past. In the early 1900's Jon Fletcher, the original lighthouse owner, tended the light at night and his sex slaves by day, earning the nickname that still sticks to the island today—Lecher's Point Lighthouse is her new home.

The red signal light from the fresnel prism flashes its warning to passing ships, but it is a warning for Callie too—the tide of her mediocre life is about to turn.

The intense, erotic dreams begin the first night she arrives. Callie finds incredible pleasure in being made submissive by her dream lover. He heightens her anxiety as he heightens her passion, each dream more intense than the last—at least she thinks they're dreams…

I may have given this a 5 star rating but I feel that you should be warned about this book first.... If you didn't like Doreen Orsini - No One But Madison, Madeline Oh - Power Exchange or Maggie Casper - Capturing Casey's Heart than you probably won't like this one either - it covers some intense elements of the BDSM life style in a somewhat fantasy ideal - it's supposed to be real life but honestly I think I'd know the difference between Callie's "dreams/hauntings?" and "real" life.... This how ever did not spoil the book for me - it instead heightened my sense of fantasy and letting go... it's dark, intense, covers issues like possibly from the past - kidnappings and being kept against your will to please a man - for some this is a fantasy that they entertain not really wanting this to happen but liking the idea of it - for those who understand, fear and the unknown can be a real aphrodisiac to some. This was well written, made sense - with the understanding of escapism being behind the book, and the BDSM sex scenes were hot - not necessarily something you should try without knowledge behind it but still very hot if you have a thing for S & M in BDSM... If you can understand those elements I think you'd enjoy this book. If you are just looking for something intense in this genre you'd probably enjoy the book otherwise you probably shouldn't buy it. I'm hoping this writer keeps up the well written product she has produced so far.
