Kris Torrence wants to experience sexual submission to a man once in her lifetime. Having a reputation for being a sedate, boring professor, nobody at her university job suspects anything when she signs up to work for five days at Hotel Atlantis, an exclusive gentlemen's resort that caters to wealthy men seeking submissive sex slaves.

Jack McKenna has been Dr. Kris Torrence's longtime nemesis. When he sees a naked sex slave walking around the resort whose long, dark red hair reminds him of the woman who will have nothing to do with him, he decides to buy her. When he sees her face for the first time, Jack and Kris will both get the shock of a lifetime...

Didn't like it from beginning to end. To say I was disappointed would be a huge understatement as I expected much much more from the author. There was no real sex until the last third of the book. Taking a job as a submissive on a island that's really just about guys bidding on their favorite girls for sex. That was my first problem. She was hired to be submissive but really there was no BDSM, none at all. You had girls there to be available to the guys. That is not the same thing. When the lead characters finally get together and have all this wonderful sex and talking when it's time to go they just say goodbye. No followup, etc. just not believable especially by the male character that went through extraordinary lengths to make sure he got his girl and has been pining for her for over 2 years. It seemed juvenile and silly.

cute love story, but I wouldn't have put it in the 'taboo' line - it's a tad kinky but not even remotely hardcore as far as BDSM is concerned... I was hoping for something a bit harder.

Great job, the sexual tension was present and even if the premise is a little weird, I did like where it went. And the mirroring at the end was cute. Could have used a little more development in their relationship just to set up how they were already soooo attracted to each other, but I'm really not complaining. VERY sexy. So stop whining about how it was weird that the hero called him penis "him" - yeah, weird, oh well. Get over it. It wasn't weird enough to mess up the overall experience. And "daddy" might be jarring as well, but it didn't crop up a lot and again, it didn't ruin the scene. Overall, very hot if you're into reading some slave stuff. Definitely would recommend to others. If you're going to read Jaid Black, read this one!

I thought this story was funny and somewhat erotic. I love Jaid's alpha males. As far as the daddy reference goes, that is a southern thing that women call their men. My husband is from the south. I know Jaid is from the Midwest and I lived in Ohio for eight years in a different part than she did but they use that reference there also among other things.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book although not really my scene. Loved the characters and was very disappointed Jaid Black never wrote John's story. I did find the women being constantly referred to as sluts quite confronting and demeaning. The daddy references were just plain disturbing.

I hated both of them. From the 'hero' talking like his penis was a separate person to the heroine referring to herself as a prostitute over and over word choices were completely jarring to me. Plus the 'daddy' thing squicked me out. Every time the author veered into a sexy premise something spoiled it.

It was enjoyable, but I could have spent my $5.20 on better book. The male lead wasn't caring enough for me. I didn't think the sex scenes were as hot as the other Jade Black's books
