There were misspellings and sentence fragments on [literally] every page. That gets distracting. Also, I would disagree with the previous comment about the protagonist retaining her identity. She most certainly does not. That's precisely why I found the book so disturbing (well, that and the extraneous amount of group and shame-based sex). There is not enough character development to make me buy into the relationship. Seemingly, Mark's only attraction to Annie is her submissiveness. I felt that he doesn't ever arrive at the point of respecting her personality and individuality.
