Krisa Elyison is a bride-to-be—bought and paid for by a stuffy aristocrat. Though she secretly longs for just one adventure all on her own, she knows the reality of her life—she is destined to be the wife of the elderly and pompous Lord Radisson.

Kurt Teague is a prisoner—a galactic criminal wanted for multiple murders. He is also Feral, a proud and savage people known for their indomitable wills to survive and their fiercely possessive natures. His tortured past has turned him into a ruthless killer—an unthinkable fate to the innocent, sheltered Krisa.

Resigned to her destiny, Krisa boards the starship that will take her to another planet and her loveless marriage. In the cargo hold, she stumbles across Teague—so fierce a prisoner he's blindfolded and chained to a wall. Even so, her heart jumps at the sound of his deep, gravelly voice.

When the ship crashes onto an uncharted jungle planet, Krisa has no choice but to trust the menacing convict with both her virginity and her life. Yet, on a world filled with ravenous telepathic beasts and cannibalistic natives…Krisa discovers that the gorgeous and mysterious Teague may be the most dangerous animal of all.

Boy did I love this book! It was so enjoyable. The heroine was so charming and the hero was so delectable. And the plot was good too. Really terrific.

I usually do not do reviews but this was one of the best books I have ever read. It read everything action, sex, and suspense. I read a lot of books of all genres and I can say this is a must read.

Wish I could give this 4 1/2. Dragged down a little for me by repetitive language - some descriptions e.g., "full breasts" and "low growl" overused. But good plot/characters.

Good story but Krisa's hesitation towards Teague gets to be too much - but good read!

Loved it. Sexy to the max, way hot, a great progression of the relationship. The sci-fi was amazingly good and the world was surprisingly well thought out for a story that obviously doesn't center around the setting but the romance. Loads of sexual tension! And seriously, nobody would have THOUGHT of Pitch Black if not for the thing about Teague's eyes, which the author explains through the character's species, so give it up, it has nothing to do with that movie. Inspired by, I couldn't attest to, but "like Pitch Black" not so much. Give the author some credit for not plagiarizing something so obvious. This is definitely one of Ms. Anderson's better books, and I'm saying that as someone who has read almost all of them now. I re-read this one a lot! Seriously, if you're looking for a hot, entertaining read, this is definitely it. We have serious culture clashes, a dominant male who is super understanding with the heroine about letting her realize on her own that she loves him... super romantic with regards to that. Very erotic. Must read!

This continues to be my favorite book of this author. It is the first of hers I read in paperback and continue to enjoy her alpha males and her heroines. This plot moved along nicely and was not overpowered by the sex scenes and was a joy to read.

This is one of my favorite stories. The author makes such an interesting world with characters that are addictive to read about. I loved the dream aspect. Krisa isn't able to deal with her needs and emotions in reality so her dreams are extra hot. Teague plays the sexy rogue who will do anything to protect whats his. Sometimes love comes when you least expect it.
