The byplay between characters is thoroughly entertaining (and did I mention hot?). Real life issues are addressed and dealt with in a believable manner and the intensity of the sex will leave you breathless. My personal barometer to see if I did enjoy a book is to imagine myself as the female character and see if i'd love to be in her skin; needless to say, i'd be Catarena any day of the week!
