As a heads up to you ladies and gents, I am absolutely echoing the above reviewer as this book is definately not for the faint of heart. The both the main character and a secondary character are involved in a war-time rape scene and there is also a brief m/m rape scene that the male hero watches but is powerless to stop. That said, the book itself is amazingly well crafted and realistic but I will probably not read it again because I didn't enjoy the torment of the heroine. But I didn't feel the book deserved a bad rating because of the interpretation of incredibly difficult subject matter. In the end, the hero ends up saving the girl and you end up falling for both characters but the surprise of the rapes lent a slightly sad flavor to my countenance.
