I did think that it was slightly off-putting how fast the sexual tension built up between Kalesia and Gabriel. I would prefer that they not roll into bed so quickly, much less when Gabriel is still in doubt about Kalesia’s abilities. That aside, this was definitely a fast paced page-turner. It wasn’t clear until the very end who the villain was and his relationship with Gabriel. Although I do have to take some issue with how Kalesia lost it when Gabriel’s past was shoved in her face, this was otherwise a pretty solid story.
